World Solution Missionary (WOSOM) was Founded by the Late Bishop Dr. A Lucas Famodimu.
In the early 90's, the Lord Revealed to Bishop Dr. Lucas HIS plans and purposes for him and missions in foreign nations.
One night, he had a dream and the Lord gave him the book of Numbers chapter 32 vs 6 in his dream saying, “ shall you sit here whilst your brethren go to war? ”, that verse triggered some in him, it was like fire in his bones and that lead him to his call for world missions.
God specifically told him to preach the gospel of truth and holiness and in that; solution would be given to men’s trouble. God then directed him to Southern Africa, Durban, South Africa.
Did i hear you ask why South Africa? Yes, God specifically brought a map to him and showed him where his mission was to be – KwaZulu-Natal, Durban.
Prior to leaving Nigeria, he pastored a church he built with his own hands in Ibadan Nigeria called The Rock Foundations ministry and later gave it to another ministry to take care of the flocks.
After these revelations for missions, he received a name for the new mission, namely, World Solution Missionary Ministries.
Bishop Lucas and his wife Florence now Apostle, and his first son named Peter now Apostle arrived in South Africa a few years after the call and started doing crusades and revivals through out the KwaZulu-Natal communities with the message of Holiness and Salvation, demonstrating the love and power of God.
Through these movements, a lot of Hindu's and Muslim’s and ancestral worshippers gave their lives to Christ in there thousands every night under the Wosom Tent that sat 5000 people.
A lot of Hindu’s forsook their god lamps and agenda poles, which created a lot of controversies in the Indian communities, which lead the Hindu priests to summon the minister of foreign affairs then minister Buthelezi to deport Bishop Lucas and his family, minister Buthelezi declined.
The persecutions grew heavier and heavier and Bishop Lucas had to move out of KwaZulu-Natal. He moved to north west province, namely, Mafikeng.
On starting the missions in that Province, the move and hand of God was undoubtedly great, there were signs and wonders that drew many to want to worship God and serve others.
The crusade stretched out of North west to the rest of South Africa and Africa then the diaspora having the Southern African Head quarters in Johannesburg- Wosom city no 17 Rademan, Brakpan and the Western African office in Wosom city, no 341 Oba Ile, housing estate, Akure - Ondo state Nigeria.
Bishop Lucas, known to be the general of missions was later called to glory in the year 2009 and was buried in South Africa upon his wish.
After the Bishops passing, many men and women came in their numbers to learn how to serve God and their communities, this was then the birth of Light Ark Family Church, the baby and campus setting of WWosom.
The mission still lives and has grown in both Spiritual and timely measures with his family.
